About Cesar Jose Diaz

Cesar currently works at Christopher Columbus High School as a Technology Specialist and Programmer. He provides desktop computer support, iPad support, infrastructure support, and develops custom applications for various areas. Over the years he has gained experience with Active Directory managing user accounts,troubleshooting roaming profile issues, and creating new user accounts. He has also set up some necessary servers such as MS SQL Server, Microsoft SCCM Server, and an IIS Server. Computer images with preinstalled software for various sections of the school were set up and implemented by Cesar using Microsoft SCCM. A noticeable achievement of his are the custom applications he has developed for various areas that handle functions such as event registration, student check-in, and student tardiness logging. These programs can validate users against Active Directory, store data on a SQL Server, print data to a printer, import/export data to/from Excel files, and some can be accessible by the web.

Cesar previously worked at FIU in the Division of I.T as a lab manager in one of the open labs. As a lab manager, he assisted students in the lab with any issues they had with programs or with technical problems on their computer. Other tasks included performing updates and maintenance on the labs computers and also working with the Kiosks at FIU.

In the summer of 2014, Cesar interned with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department in their Information Systems Division working with network managers and technicians. He has gone throughout the airport troubleshooting user computers, installing new devices and performing upgrades. With this internship, Cesar has gained experience in troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, and customer service.

In his spare time, Cesar edits videos and does photography and videography for people who need those services. He has been editing for over eight years and is very fond of Adobe Premiere Pro.
